Hunters wait for wild animals or track them. Raised hides are among the best known hunting facilities. They are built by the owners of the hunting grounds where you have a good view of the landscape. Hunters can spend many hours during this so-called raised stand hunting at dawn or dusk and all the year round.
In the case of a moving hunt, by contrast, hunters are on their own or in a group. When stalking, they are often accompanied only by a hunting dog. With battues or drive hunting, animals are flushed out from their cover and killed if they belong to the kinds that can be shot.
Hunting dogs and flushers are indispensable for hunting, because complex searches are often necessary in which only keen dog noses can find (dead or) injured game. Hunting horns were a traditional means of communication, but today everyone has their mobile phones on them when hunting.
